Dubai, April 26th, 2017 was a special day for Longchamp aficionados. The world-renowned French leather goods and clothing house hosted fashion’s crème de la crème for an intimate afternoon at the celebrated Parisian institution, La Cantine Du Faubourg.
Originally located at Saint-Honoré in Paris, La Cantine du Faubourg, provided the perfect backdrop for Longchamp’s new and supremely French FW17 collection. Media and bloggers arrived at 3pm for a personal tour of the collection, with representatives of the brand explaining the essence and inspiration behind each piece. Press were then treated to Longchamp keepsakes – a beautiful leather backed mirror; customized by the talented artists of SOH Dubai.
The FW17 collection consists of several expertly crafted lines of handbags, shoes and accessories. From the inspiring lamb skin leather and cowhide patchwork Penelope Arty, to the use of contrast in the exceptional calfskin leather Mademoiselle Longchamp range, the brand expertly juxtaposes a sensual material and perforation for a casual streamlined spirit.
The Longchamp Madeleine, a creation in young bull hide, gives the graphic and streamlined shapes an extra softness. Clean cut edges and saddlery-style leather stitches make it the must have for the fall season. Paris Premier, Effrontee, and Le Pliage Cuir Etoiles with metallic eyelets and stars round out the perfect bags for women on the go.
For evenings, the brand developed the La Baronne line – envelope-shaped sheep fur and patent leather clutches with crystals and Swarovski rhinestones, as well as rabbit fur clutches with removable metallic chain shoulder straps to spice up any outfit. A full range of accessories and shoes – from boots, high heel sandals, loafers and tennis shoes rounded out the new collection.
